It's rumored to launch nationwide September 23.

There's no wrong time for a salty, soft pretzel. Not one. Burger King apparently knows this, as the chain is reportedly launching a new bacon cheeseburger served on a pretzel bun. Naturally, it looks delicious.

The new menu item, named the Pretzel Bacon King Burger, recently launched in Canada. Starting today, it's also launching in select stores around the country.

The burger (if it's the same as the Canadian version) will feature two quarter-pound patties, cheese, bacon, mustard, and mayonnaise, all between a perfectly toasted, soft-on-the-inside, slightly-crisp-on-the-outside pretzel bun.

Although Burger King has not yet confirmed, multiple outlets have reported the new burger will launch nationwide in the U.S. on Monday, September 23, which means if your restaurant isn't one of the lucky few to already be selling the pretzel provision, you don't have to wait too long to try it out.

This news comes on the heels of Auntie Anne's announcing it would start selling chicken sliders—its response to the sudden chicken sandwich craze.

An early review of the Pretzel Bacon King by YouTuber Peep This Out! was positive. The reviewer said the pretzel's texture was nice and soft and a perfect match to the mustard. Actually, he called it a "beautiful situation," which is a lovely way to talk about a burger. The pretzel bun, he said, tasted like it was boiled, then baked, as any good pretzel should be.

Check out his whole review, and keep your eyes peeled for the new pretzel burger at your local BK restaurant!
